1. Who we are

2. Data we collect
- Account & onboarding: name, email, business name, trade, address, phone, logo, photos, copy you submit.
- Billing: handled by Stripe - we never store full card details.
- Usage: pages visited, device, IP, basic analytics events.
- Communications: emails and support messages you send us.
3. How we use it
- To build, host and maintain your website (contractual necessity).
- To process payments and prevent fraud (legal obligation, legitimate interest).
- To send service updates and respond to support requests.
- To send marketing emails - only with your consent, with opt-out in every message.
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Lovable Cloud / Supabase (hosting & database), Cloudflare (CDN), Google (Analytics, Reviews). All are bound by data-processing agreements.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while you’re a customer and for 6 years after cancellation to meet HMRC obligations. Marketing data is deleted within 30 days of unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing hello@builtlocal.uk. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
7. International transfers
Some processors are based outside the UK. We rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and adequacy decisions where applicable.
8. Changes
We’ll post material changes here and notify customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
